Perley Lutheran Parish consists of two congregations, Kirkebo Lutheran in the small town of Perley, MN, and Nora Lutheran Church, out in the country, 5 1/2 miles east of Gardner, ND.
These two congregations have been joined for most of more than 100 years, and although they function independently, they cooperate in so many ways, including the sharing of a pastor.
These congregations are affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and are a part of the Northwestern Minnesota Synod of the ELCA.
To become a member of either Kirkebo or Nora, one needs to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord of his/her life, and:
- Believe that the congregation is a Christian fellowship;
- Believe that he/she/they can grow in his/her relationship to Christ as a member of the congregation; and
- Believe that he/she/they can faithfully serve Christ as a member of the congregation.
We are served by a retired pastor who lives on the north side of Fargo, and who provides about 3/4 time for us. He would be willing to meet with you, speak to you on the phone, or exchange emails with you. See our Contact Us page.
